Cancellation Policy
(Deed of Acknowledgement and Waiver of Liability, Indemnity, and Voluntary Assumption of Risk) Thanks for choosing to test ride a bike from Outer Box! Before you hit the trails or the street, please read and accept the following terms. This is a legally binding Deed that outlines responsibilities, risks, and conditions related to your test ride. If anything is unclear, please ask before signing. 1. Purpose At my request, Outer Box is allowing me to take a test ride on a new season demonstration bicycle (“the Bike”) to evaluate it before a possible purchase. In return, I agree to the terms below. 2. Fees & Insurance I agree to pay a non-refundable bike maintenance fee of $280 or $80, depending on the bike rented. This covers servicing, setup, and cleaning before and after my ride. If I purchase a new Zerode bike afterward, this fee will be deducted from the sale price. I understand this does not include personal or third-party insurance. I may choose to pay an additional $50 for damage cover, which insures me against up to $1,000 of accidental damage to the Bike during my ride. 3. Rider Responsibilities I confirm that: I can perform a basic bike safety check (e.g. brakes, components) before riding. I’m competent and experienced in riding bikes and understand local laws and road rules. I’ll wear a helmet and safety gear at all times. I’m in good health and fit to ride. 4. Risks & Liability I understand that biking is inherently risky, with potential for serious injury or death due to falls, collisions, terrain, or mechanical failure. I accept full responsibility for these risks and agree to return the Bike in the same condition as received. If the Bike is damaged, lost, or stolen: I’ll pay repair/replacement costs, up to $1,000 if I bought insurance, or Full replacement cost if I did not. Outer Box will determine these costs at its sole discretion. 5. Legal Release I confirm that: I’ve read and understood this Deed. I release Outer Box, its staff, and affiliates from all liability for injury, damage, or loss arising from my ride. I agree to indemnify Outer Box against any third-party claims related to my ride. This Deed is governed by New Zealand law. If any part is invalid, the rest remains effective. 6. Declaration I acknowledge the risks of biking and accept full responsibility for my safety, the Bike’s condition, and any outcomes from this test ride.
